Do you want to experience Internal Family Systems (IFS) but aren’t ready to start IFS Therapy?

Looking for new IFS practices to use on your own?

Would you like to witness the power of IFS with a seasoned clinician?

Introducing IFS Community Groups - an affordable option to experience Internal Family Systems in a small group setting that offers both education and support to help you cultivate harmonious relationships with yourself and others.

Our community groups can serve as a hands-on introduction to Internal Family Systems concepts and methods, and can complement the therapeutic work you’ve already done. While group meetings are not a substitute for therapy, participants can expect ample opportunities for personal growth and healing.

There’s something uniquely powerful about growing within a supportive community - one that is both welcoming and encouraging, with like minded seekers whose collective presence enhances the healing potential for all.

Benefits of an IFS Community Group

Discovering commonality about our inner world with others whose perspectives and life experiences differ from our own can be so affirming and connecting. Personal sharing and learning in a group setting often helps those parts of us convinced that no one will understand, in ways that can have a profound effect.

Working in groups offers an antidote to the isolation and separation that many of us feel in our modern society. By coming together, we will grapple with the universal challenges of our world and share the weight of these burdens in community.

At the same time, we honor the unique embodiments and diverse experiences of each participant. It is our intention to cultivate a safe space for you to fully be yourself – to welcome all parts of yourself.

Groups can be scary for many of our parts that carry relational wounds, and groups are also a chance for these wounds to be healed in safe, secure relationships. This is a chance to share in the powerful healing of collective Self-energy. IFS Community Group members will gain tools and insights that you can take with you long after the program ends, with greater confidence to navigate life's challenges, to open your heart to others, and tend to your inner system with gentleness and grace.

What to expect

Meeting weekly for eight weeks, for 105-minute sessions, the groups will be limited to 12-16 participants in order to ensure personalized attention and an intimate experience.

You’ll learn about core IFS principles through presentations, meditations, journaling and other exercises that will broaden your understanding of your inner world and your relationships with others. Demonstration sessions may be offered for interested participants – an opportunity to work with one of the facilitators on getting to know your inner system, while being witnessed and held in the supportive container of a small cohort. There will also be opportunities to ask questions and to connect in small breakout rooms.
